I went to London and bought Heat magazine!

Ok so technically this happened in April but I bought so many amazing beauty products that I thought I should write a post about it. 

The first stop was Dior in Covent Garden. Before we even stepped through the door my friends and I had received invites to try the Dior Addict Fluid Stick. Of course we just had to oblige! I tried 754 Pandore and fell in love. You apply the colour like a gloss but it dries like a lipstick. It's very long wearing and on nights out I've only needed to reapply a couple of times. The colour is a reddy, orange which is a totally new shade for me but I love wearing it on evenings out with neutral eye make up, it makes me feel very glam! 

And so, Dior in Covent Garden was where my very dangerous addiction began. As we left, with new lipglosses safely tucked away in luxury paper bags, I decided that I needed to own more high end make up (as the majority of my collection is made up of No7 - which I love - but just don't get that same buzz off.) 

So onwards we went to Harrods. There I made a beeline for the Dior concession where the very nice man talked me into spending over £100 on eye shadow, foundation and a foundation brush - but it was sooo worth it!  

He tried the Dior Airflash spray foundation £33 on me as I said a wanted medium coverage that wasn't to shiny or too matt (fussy I know). It is an aerosol so you can spray it directly onto your face (way too scary for me) or onto a brush to work into your face. I love the foundation, it's light but I still feel as though I get a decent coverage and I can build it up if needed. I was a bit concerned with how long it would last as it's an aerosol but I use it everyday and it still has plenty left in it. The brush he used was the number 12 foundation brush and it's the softest most luxurious brush I own. It cost £36 but I imagine that if I look after it properly it will last for years and years and it came in a gorgeous little velvety pouch, wow! 

Speaking of velvety packaging, I also purchased a palette of 5 eye shadows from Dior. They did cost £40 but again I saw them as more of an investment as eyeshadows usually last me forever. I went for a totally different colour for me, 970 Stylish Move, which are purples and pinks. 

I love the colours but was at little bit dubious at first about whether they'd suit me. The lovely Dior man applied the eyeshadows for me and I loved them! I don't tend to use the darker purple very much as I wear these eyeshadows a lot in the day but I love the other colours, they stay on all day and are really easy to apply (with a proper eyeshadow brush- I'm not a fan of the spongy applicator things they come with.)

My final beauty purchase came from Liberty. I bought the cowshed shampoo and conditioner at £12-£14 a bottle and I don't really rate it. The shampoo doesn't lather very well which I know isn't the be all and end all but I never feel as though I have cleaned my hair properly. The conditioner is a little better but I much prefer the Aussie shampoo and conditioners at a fraction of the cost.
